The Four Season Eclipse is an abstract piece of hanging art that portrays the life cycle. Though, it is not shown directly, but requires direct lighting to unfold its true meaning.
Kyle Chen chose to create this piece due to the inspiration of time. When time passes, things change. With regards to nature, the life cycle can be viewed as not only a pathway, but can be illustrated through art.
In the Spring time, trees, plants, and shrubs begin growing. Bursting with leaves and flowers as the sun rays shine throughout the sky. This is portrayed with the 4 flared columns, which represents the movement of growth.
At its peak during the summer time, these plants sway in the summer breeze with their lush leaves rustling in the wind.
Though when Autumn returns, these leaves swirl down to the ground where they will decompose back to the Earth. This movement is shown by the twisting effect in the art piece.

The shadow shares how our eyes do not see everything. It remind us to take time to really observe and understand how our world works. Without the descriptions above, you probably did not know the meaning behind it. Though, when you took your time to read what this piece meant, then everything made sense.
